In the new strategy game Golden Rails. Stories of the Wild West » you will be transported to the era of the construction of the railway in 19th century America. A young graduate from the University of New York, Jill goes to her first job as a chief engineer. She will need to have time to build a brand new railway in 50 days. After all, her employer, John, owes a large amount of money to the banker, and if he does not have time to pay the debt, he will lose the enterprise that he inherited from his father.
The player will need to build a railway, remove obstacles, collect resources and restore all the small provincial towns that Jill and John pass by. In addition, the heroes will have to resist the intrigues of the insidious banker, who is simply unable to watch how the tidbit, which he already considered his own, floats past his grasping hands. Therefore, the banker hires bandits who either ambush, rob the townspeople, or steal the world's largest gold nugget, or even kidnap John's workers.
In addition to the main plot of the game about the construction of the railway and tasks related to this, the player will also need to complete additional quests. For example, create a huge totem for the Indians or build a giant statue of a woodcutter, make sure that the mail works smoothly and make sure that people receive letters. Or save for posterity the giant sequoias, which in real life were barbarously cut down at that particular time.
The game has three modes of passing, without time, with standard time and more difficult, in which time is strictly limited. In addition to 50 levels with various tasks, the game has a small surprise for the players. At each level, you can find an owl, whose portrait then appears in the "Wanted" gallery. Owls can be hard to spot sometimes, but enjoying the full collection is well worth it!
