A terrible fire broke out at the Evergreen Boarding School for Children. All the pupils were evacuated, except for Billy and his girlfriend Sarah - neither the teachers, nor the firemen, nor the police could find them. Billy's father is the nephew of private detective Anna Grey, and of course he immediately turns to her for help. When everyone is powerless, only she can help!

After all, when Anna moved in time 12 hours before the fire, she saw with her own eyes a figure in white flashing through the windows of the boarding school...
