The protagonist of Beholder 2 is an intern at the Main Ministry of the Country. So far, he is at the lowest career level, but he will do everything so that the Wise Leader awards him with an order. Or it will go over the heads, thereby acquiring the chair of the Ministry.
The game is not a direct continuation of the previous game. But in one scene there is a cameo by Karl Stein. The plot starts from the moment when Evan Redgrave receives a notification about the death of his father. To investigate this case, he travels to the capital Helmer, where he gets a job in the Ministry. He has a long way to go in a series of secrets and mysteries associated with the death of his father.
While working in the office, the protagonist will complete many tasks: take part in a tournament, help a local nerd with relationships, issue fines, take part in a dark drug trafficking case, make friends with an alcoholic, and much more. At the same time, a certain amount of working time is spent on solving the problem, and the working day has a normal daily schedule. Certain quests in Overseer 2 give you choices that will have consequences. The better Carl does at work and errands, the higher he moves up the floors, getting a promotion. Thus, sooner or later, he will get to the office of the boss himself.
The game contains many scenes of violence, blood, tin, black and absurd humor, supported by a system of denunciations, crazy patriotism, and even exams in logic and philosophy. Fun and cruelty alternate, which give the incredible dynamics of the gameplay. The protagonist can not only be a cog in a totalitarian regime, but also significantly influence the future fate of his country.
