Bet on Soldier: Blood Sport is a first-person shooter developed in 2005 by French developers who wanted to make their own adjustments to the genre. The events of the single-player campaign take place on an alternative planet Earth, during a large-scale world war between the West and Asian countries, in 1998. Clashes have been going on for more than 80 years, and there are practically no prerequisites for the end of the conflict. Society has changed a lot over such a long period, the main entertainment has become a kind of gladiator fights, in which soldiers of various special forces take part, fighting for glory and cash rewards. These skirmishes are broadcast to the entire civilized world, having received the name "Bet on a soldier: Bloodsport".
Before the start of each task of the single-player campaign, the player is asked to choose equipment that will be in the inventory of the protagonist named Nolan Danworth, who fought for the forces of the west until he completely lost his memory, on the battlefield. It is not possible to pick up small arms and ammo from dead enemies, which forces the player to be more selective during the briefing. To help in combat, gamers can hire two allies, which will be controlled by artificial intelligence, and cover their backs in difficult battles.
