A Long Way Down is a card roguelike with RPG elements that takes you to the world of dark fantasy. Using cards, you will collect your squad to fight against a huge number of enemies and survive in a harsh and aggressive world. You have to overcome the dungeon-maze, which is run by one crazy genius. The gameplay of A Long Way Down consists of choices. Each of them will carry its own consequences.
In the center of the story is a hero named Sam. His task is to get out of the intricacies of gloomy corridors built by a madman. Only memories and the choice of the hero do not allow him to completely fall into the Darkness. Your deck will determine the type of game you play and how you explore the catacombs. The deck also determines how you fight. Choose fighters, combine their skills and crush enemies.
Battles take place in special arenas where you will fight with weapons and spells written on the cards. The difficulty of the enemies progresses depending on your level. Throughout the story, new heroes will join you. When they are found, the level of the fighters will be equivalent to Sam, as well as the level of your weapons, equipment and equipment. In the corridors of the labyrinth you will meet many secondary characters. Which of them will become an ally, and who will become a sworn enemy?
Dungeons keep many secrets and it's up to you to decide how to explore the dungeon: you can rush headlong forward, or you can explore every corner, for which the game will generously reward the most curious. But you should remember that every step and choice you make throughout the campaign will lead to an individual final battle. The last boss on the way will be the creator of the underground complex.
