A Step Into Darkness is an indie first-person horror game in which the player ventures into a gloomy forest to investigate the mysteries of missing people while trying to capture the mysterious inhabitants on video and return alive.
One day, journalist Martin made a mistake that changed his life forever. His beloved almost died, needs long-term treatment and still has not come out of a coma. To atone for his guilt, Martin needs to get a large amount of money, and he is ready to take on any job. The boss offers him a risky investigation - to go into the forest, find and film strange creatures that are rumored to appear there along with the darkness. The resulting material should become a sensation for the publication and bring Martin the necessary amount for the treatment of his beloved ... but will he be able to get out of the forest, the inhabitants of which are far from harmless?
The player will have to start an adventure and go into the ominous thicket with only a camera in hand - look for weapons that will help you survive, get into a house in the forest, find out the stories of those who have decided on the same frightening journey before you, and avoid monsters, waiting in the dark. The disturbing atmosphere of the twilight forest and abandoned locations, the shaking camera in the hands of a frightened character, the original soundtrack and the unpredictable plot will tickle the nerves of horror adventure fans.
