The gameplay of Kaiju Fishing offers to catch Kaiju from the local waters - some kind of monsters the size of Godzilla. The game includes many different tasks in which you need to hunt both small creatures and creatures the size of a skyscraper. At the same time, the hero will help the villagers get rid of monsters by exploring the wide expanses of the sea.
The design of the Kaiju was drawn from various classic films, cartoons and books. To catch such a huge fish, the hero will use some special abilities that help him famously cope with monstrous creatures. The protagonist of Kaiju Fishing writes down all the information about the varieties of local fauna in a notebook, studying their strengths and weaknesses: which bait is easiest to catch this or that type of monster, in what areas and waters a particular type of creature is found, etc. - all this is available in records and diaries, so in no case should you ignore the collection of information that can greatly help in the adventure.
The plot is inspired by the folklore of Japanese culture about the invasion of powerful and majestic Kaiju and tells how the balance of the world was disturbed, resulting in a gap, allowing ancient creatures to penetrate our universe. Openworld runs through distant villages and rich kingdoms, connected by a whole ocean inhabited by phantasmagoric animals.
