The year was 1812. War rages across Europe and Russia. Napoleon, Emperor of France, seeks to conquer Europe. The enemies of France, led by England, are waging a desperate struggle for victory over Napoleon. England, in dire need of men, urges men to serve in her navy. Included are Americans forced to serve at gunpoint.
The young American nation is objecting. In an effort to protect its sovereign rights and strengthen its position in North America, the United States declares war on Great Britain on June 18, 1812. Taking advantage of the fact that the British army was occupied in its fight against Napoleon, American troops invade Canada to fight for it. British from their last remaining colony on North American soil. Surprised, Britain recoiled from the attack and is now forced to face a new enemy threat on a different front.
In 1812 - The Invasion of Canada - players take on one of the roles of the main factions that took part in the War of 1812. On the British side, they are represented by British regulars (in red uniforms), Canadian militia and Native Americans; and the US regular army and the US militia make up the US players. The players of each side will cooperate with each other to plan and execute their campaigns. Each side will attempt to capture target areas on the map. When a truce is declared, the side that controls the most enemy target areas wins.
