Albion is a single-player RPG with fantasy elements (magic, fictional creatures and unusual phenomena). The action takes place in 2230. The story begins with the Toronto spacecraft emerging from hyperspace at the end of a distant star system. The crew leaders decided that there were large reserves of resources on the planet closest to them.
The player takes the role of Tom Driscoll. The protagonist is the pilot of an exploratory spaceship, which set off to study the state of the worlds where the deposits are located. The interstellar transport device fails, causing an emergency landing. On the surface of the continent, the central character sees that the described desert world is full of life. Albion is a vast planet with many secrets, current and former civilizations, neutral and aggressive factions. The inhabitants are the local humanoid Iskai and human Celtic peoples who learned to travel through space in due time.
The gameplay is presented in the form of a role-playing adventure. The gamer controls a team of 6 units. Characters have their own abilities, characteristics and class. In cities, single buildings and other locations, there are NPCs that are open for dialogue. During the conversation, you can learn more information about the world or take quests. Training points are acquired as you earn experience, and they can be spent on improving or learning skills. Wards take up fighting stances and draw weapons when they encounter opponents.
