Alien Breed + Tower Assault are two projects that are top-down shooters. Both titles can be played alone or together on the same computer. The action takes place in the distant future, namely 2191. The products have similar storylines. In the first story, the research center stopped communicating, and then the management sent a patrol ship there. And in the second story, a group of military men catches a distress signal from an unknown planet and decides to check it out.
The release contains the original Alien Breed game and its sequel, Tower Assault. They belong to a series of jokers, which has about 10 parts. The products were inspired by the movie "Alien", so they have similar monsters. There is blood and meat. The gameplay is built around shooting crowds of aliens.
In the first part, you have to wander around the locations, look for or buy weapons from special terminals, fight alien creatures, look for lifts to the next stages and sometimes activate the self-destruct system of the current floor. There are also boss fights in enclosed spaces. In the sequel, the developers abandoned the corridor levels of the original and offered more non-linear locations with multiple exits. Thanks to this, about 250 possible routes appeared, which greatly increased the replay value. There was an opportunity to retreat, shooting on the move. However, this way of moving is much slower than usual. The graphics have been improved thanks to engine modifications.
