Alien Swarm is a top-down co-op shooter that lets you experience firsthand how the characters in Starship Troopers felt. You have to take on the role of one of 4 fighters of the special forces of the Interstellar Armed Forces and fight various alien creatures.
Game features:
-Different classes with their own skills and weapons. The arsenal is very wide, from pistols and shotguns to machine guns, flamethrowers and sniper rifles. Each of the fighters has their own preferences and special perks that increase their effectiveness in certain situations or with certain weapons.
-Colorful and dynamic gameplay allows you not to be distracted by the plot (which is still present in the game), but to focus on how to survive yourself and help your comrades. Well-coordinated teamwork in this game is the key to the successful completion of the task and the survival of the entire squad.
-Various game modes allow you to fully test your skills in combat with an alien threat. In addition to the classic difficulty levels, their various variations are available, where small squads of slow and flimsy monsters turn into a deadly horde that sweeps away everything in its path. A second delay in this case is fraught with the death of the whole detachment.
-Dangerous opponents, for the battle with which you sometimes need to use special tactics. Despite the apparent simplicity of the gameplay, not all enemies are calmly stuffed with lead. Some of them can cause a slow death of a character and are guaranteed to die only from a jet from a flamethrower, while others need to be bypassed from the rear or flanks, having previously provoked a ram.
-The game truly reveals itself in co-op, where you can team up with three friends and arrange genocide for alien creatures.
In the event that the player prefers to act alone, the role of support fighters will be taken over by moderately quick-witted computer intelligence. But don't expect any miracles from him. The brightest stories are born in those battles where a random grenade of a comrade became the key to victory or defeat.
