The protagonist wakes up in an old castle and discovers a new event - before going to bed, he drank an amnesia potion, and now he will never remember what happened before. In Amnesia: The Dark Descent , he does this to get rid of severe mental wounds, but the consequences of drinking the elixir are a dark spirit summoned that will pursue the main character in order to kill. The last request of the past Daniel is to go down to the basement of the castle and kill Alexander of Brennenburg.
Time is constantly running out, so in a survival simulator with elements of indie horror, we have to carefully, but quickly think over all decisions. The entire scenario consists of solving puzzles and logical tasks. Some of them require only mental interaction, and some require the mind and the items found as the story progresses. Graphically, the game is made in the style of previous projects from the developers. They placed items for the atmosphere throughout the locations, and also did not dare to add a “strong” musical component so as not to spoil the atmosphere.
According to the plot, the main character, Daniel, is an excellent archaeologist who, by coincidence, goes to Algeria to find a mysterious artifact in one of the tombs and find out everything about it, but instead the concrete slabs collapse and he searches for the Sphere with his last strength. This artifact is able to give a vision to the character - a rational view of everything, after using it - the Sphere splits, and gives the character a special vision of what is happening. After that, the main character is taken out of the tomb and the head of the expedition sends the hero back to London. Waking up in his native land, the main character learns that the leader of the expedition disappeared along with the rest of the group, and the fragments of the Sphere no longer connect. Nightmares so tortured the protagonist that he goes to the doctor. From here, the restoration of all events begins.
