Anamorphine is an interactive first-person adventure game that is told not through dialogue or notes, but through images, music, and artwork.
The main character, Tyler, is trying to overcome a family drama - after a tragic accident, his wife Elena, a talented musician in the past, loses her ability to experience feelings. Tyler feels guilty and suffers from post-traumatic denial syndrome, but still tries to save his failing marriage and use flashbacks to figure out how to live his life.
The gameplay in the game most of all resembles a film journey through surreal worlds woven from reality and the memories of the protagonist. Even your own house, which was once a reliable protection from life's storms, appears before the player's eyes either as a dangerous and frightening place, or as an alluring quagmire that drags its inhabitants into oblivion. As you progress, reality is gradually washed out of the game, leaving room only for fantastic, but by no means joyful and calm mirages.
Despite the fact that the game does not contain scenes of violence or other manifestations of cruelty, its high rating is due to the topics of human mental health, depressive disorder and loss.
