Ancient Frontier: Steel Shadows is a sci-fi turn-based strategy game set in outer space. The main character is the rebellious Rogan Harker, who has only recently been released from prison, but has already caught fire with a plan to create a personal pirate fleet and take revenge on the Federation.
Of course, alone it will not be possible not only to achieve the intended goal, but simply to survive, so an important component of the plot will be the acquisition of powerful allies who, like Rogan, are dissatisfied with the established regime.
Looting and raiding wealthy Federation ships, reclaiming occupied territories, and building a reputation as the galaxy's most feared pirate - it's all possible in Ancient Frontier: Steel Shadows. The 20 big missions of the main campaign are related to the main story, but the gameplay also includes more than 100 secondary quests and randomly generated events that can give a decisive advantage or, on the contrary, threaten serious trouble.
To arm their own ships and unique spacecraft of their comrades, the player will have access to a wide arsenal of weapons and abilities. The accumulated funds can even allow the newly-minted pirate admiral to acquire his own base on one of the planets.
