And Yet It Moves is a side-scrolling 2D puzzle platform game. He uses paper graphics. A black and white character runs through colorful locations, reminiscent of collages. The protagonist ignites easily, gets wet on contact with fire, dies when falling from a great height or jumping into an abyss. After death, he is revived at the nearest checkpoint. The indie project stands out for its original mechanics.
The main feature of And Yet It Moves is the ability to rotate the world at different angles (90 and 180 degrees). This allows the user to play with obstacles. For example: a high wall that the character is unable to jump over can become a horizontal platform, and a passage that is too narrow (the hero cannot squat) can turn into a vertical tunnel. At the same time, some of the objects at such moments will change their position. For example: if you turn the card upside down, then the stones, fruits, sticks lying on the floor will be on the ceiling. The main character is able to run, jump and rotate the environment around him.
The game has 17 levels filled with puzzles, enemies and traps. For fans of speedrunning, there is an opportunity to arrange races against the clock, competing with their own or other people's ghosts and setting online records. To pass the stage, you need to find a way out of the confusing location, which is depicted in the form of a door. There are allied and hostile creatures on the maps, such as bats, lizards, monkeys, bees and saber-toothed rats. Some of them can be used to overcome obstacles. There is no plot in this title. After passing the single, additional modes open.
