Angry Birds Rio is the third part in a series of arcade games about angry birds that destroy enemy buildings. This time the events will take place in Rio de Janeiro, where the birds from their Island got to thanks to poachers. With the help of their anger, they free other wild birds, including Ducky, Rafael, Luis and Pearl. Now they have to help them in the fight against cockatoos by Nigel and poachers.
The gameplay of Angry Birds: Rio will allow you to visit several famous places in the city. The main opponents will be monkeys, replacing most of the time pigs. At certain levels, bosses may appear, led by the leader of the primates, Mauro. Some quests do not involve enemies, but require the release of various exotic birds and dolphins. The buildings have undergone some changes, and such elements as the ball, sand and iron have appeared on the locations. On one of the tasks, a dog named Louis will appear. In pursuit of the ball, he will destroy enemy structures.
The game is divided into two components: Rio 1 and Rio 2. The difference is that the second chapter contains several bonus levels. There is a training location Playground, where you can master the mechanics of PowerUps and the use of the Mighty Eagle. In addition to the main campaign, Angry Birds Rio includes 24 side missions, which are unlocked after the player earns enough stars. The first secret location requires 30 stars to unlock, the second requires 50, and the third 70. To access the rest, you need to use the Eagle and collect feathers. 10 feathers grant access to another secret level.
