Antisquad is a turn-based strategy game that stands out from the competition with its memorable visual style and game mechanics.
The project does not have a clear plot or background, but there is a common goal for the entire passage - the fight against the Mexican drug cartel. The player controls a group of mercenaries with a diverse composition of participants. Each of the team members has different skills, characteristics, as well as weapons and equipment. There is a sniper in the squad, a demoman, a melee master, a soldier with a minigun, a secretive girl Rose, who arranges sabotage behind enemy lines, and others.
Up to 3 team members can be taken on one mission. Having made a move by each of them, the initiative passes into the hands of opponents. Each player's action consumes special energy points, limiting freedom of movement and forcing them to make tactical decisions. All characters have their own system of penalties that directly affects the gameplay.
Heroes have increased mortality, so you need to constantly improve them and supply them with new equipment. All this can be done in a special leveling menu, where weapons and body armor are bought for money earned in battle, and first-aid kits, the Phoenix device, and repair kits are bought for crystals.
The Antisquad developers provided their project with colorful graphics inspired by comics, as well as frivolous dialogues, but this does not harm the game, but only sets it apart from its competitors.
