Aquanox Deep Descent is a first-person shooter that tells about the future in which humanity had to move to the bottom of the ocean because they could not withstand global warming, bloody wars, economic crisis and radiation. However, nature here throws up a difficult life for the human race, because they have to fight against plankton nanorobots that destroy everything in their path.
To fight the threat, people have built huge combat submarines, the management of which is gameplay. Vessels are divided into different classes, including reconnaissance or siege. Customization is available, which can add maneuverability to a siege transport, and several heavy guns to a reconnaissance vehicle. Various submarine captains bring additional bonuses to the submarine.
The gameplay is represented by an arcade where you need to catch the enemy in sight and fire a volley from all the guns. At the same time, you need to maneuver and dodge enemy projectiles. Considering that the ships are large, it will not be possible to quickly turn around, so it is worth calculating the timings as accurately as possible and thinking through the strategy.
In addition, Deep Descent offers missions to explore the underwater world. Some sections of the map open only upon completion of some storylines. Simple RPG mechanics include looting, mining, trading, and flexible customization of the shuttle's appearance. Co-op allows up to four players to play at the same time. Local PvP contains two modes: Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch Dogfighting.
