Side view platformer - Aquaria - is a combination of 175 types of underwater creatures, all deep-sea fauna with the metroidvania genre and constantly pumping the character. Our protagonist is Naya, a lonely girl, an explorer of the underwater depths. Together with her, we have to learn everything about underwater caves, get to know a lot of inhabitants, craft a huge number of items in order to progress through the game. The heroine does not remember anything, but goes into the water, because - the water remembers everything. Our task is to help her remember everything that happened to her in the past.
In order to unravel the mystery of Aquaria and learn secrets about her family (the existence of which Naya learns from one of the sea monsters), we have to constantly swim through the locations. On our way we will meet the inhabitants of the depths, both positive and hostile. You won’t guess right away, so from time to time you will die due to the fact that you are floating into the unknown through an unlit maze, at the end of which a hostile creature that does not show an aggressive look will be waiting for you.
Treasures, items, resources in the game are crafting items. With their help, it will be possible not only to craft new weapons, but also to help Naya make her own pool of spells. She will be guided only by your control, so all that will help you is random inserts of her conversation.
Completely open to the passage of the story has several branches. You can choose to follow your heart (the protagonist makes it clear when you are moving in the right direction), or you can explore everything around to make the heroine even stronger.
Swimming under the water, you will discover sunken ships, random human finds in the tentacles of monsters. This world is fabulously unreal, but too beautiful.
