ARAYA is a first-person horror rpg that is a game in the spirit of Outlast, Amnesia and Penumbra.
The story is told from the point of view of three characters entering a Thai hospital. They have to study the local corridors and chambers, along the way trying to restore the circumstances of the mysterious murder of a girl named Araya.
Characters:
- Marisa, whose friend went missing in this hospital a year ago. The heroine receives an SMS from her, where she tells the girl to come to the hospital;
- Rama, who is the security guard of the institution, who during the night round noticed the devilry going on;
- Boone is a guy who undertook to complete one assignment in a hospital in exchange for writing off debts.
The player will race through 10 levels, during which more and more mystical incidents will be revealed. Each chapter is assigned to one of the protagonists. They will need to collect clues, solve puzzles, read newspaper chronicles and doctors' reports in order to advance in the investigation of a mysterious case.
The characters will be hunted by two types of enemies: the ghosts of patients and a crazed exorcist with a knife. As in classic contemplative horror, the heroes cannot fight off opponents, so they will constantly have to run and hide, sometimes using QTE.
ARAYA supports VR headsets such as Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.
