Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura is a fantasy RPG with quality environments and thoughtful dialogue. The story begins with a cut-scene in which we are shown how the main character is flying in an undefined direction on an airship. But enemy planes suddenly appear in the sky and blow up the aircraft. Our hero survives, and under the rubble he discovers a half-dead dwarf, who hands him a ring and asks him to deliver it to his relatives. After handing over the ring, he takes his last breath and life leaves his body.
At the beginning of the game, we are given the opportunity to create our character. The player needs to select a name, gender, race, and biographical information. The last two characteristics affect the gameplay. For example, elves gain extra points in magic but lose 2 points in tech skills. Each race has its own characteristics, and biographical data affects what items you start the game with. Then you are offered to distribute points according to the characteristics of the character and his skills.
As the story progresses, the player will be able to visit many interesting places where he can learn something interesting or get unique items. You will need to decide whether you will follow the path of magic, or become a brilliant technician. Each side has its own characteristics, which you can see directly in the game. Travel across the Arcanum mainland, explore different locations with your companions or alone, upgrade your hero, learn new skills and learn the most secret stories of characters. Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura is a game that can and will need to be replayed multiple times without getting bored.
