A kidnapping on the streets of Shibuya brings together a hot-blooded detective, a violent journalist, a former gang leader, a major pharmaceutical manufacturer's chief investigator, and a timer stuck in a cat suit, for a series of events that seem unexpected and outrageous than the last.
Plot
428: Shibuya Scramble is a visual adventure where players take part in the events from the point of view of several protagonists who act in parallel, unaware of each other's existence. In the suburbs of Tokyo, the modern city of Shibuya, the characters are involved in events that cannot be resolved without their interaction. The plot is revealed by subsequent clues found in the game's text, accompanied by video sequences, and decisions made on which path the protagonist should follow next. Depending on the player's choice, a number of new scenarios emerge that eventually lead to different outcomes and endings. The game can have up to 85 different possible endings.
The goal of the game is to figure out whose actions affect whom and find the right choice to lead each protagonist to the conclusions of their storylines. The game offers a timeline screen where the events of all the stories of the main characters are listed in chronological order.
