Arma Tactics is a turn-based tactical strategy from the creators of Arma III and DayZ, inspired by classics of the genre such as Fallout: Tactics, Comandos and Cold Zero.
The player leads a squad of special forces soldiers whose task is to penetrate the deepest rear of the enemy. The gameplay consists of an alternate turn of the player and the enemy, where each side of the conflict must take the most advantageous position and effectively eliminate enemy targets, while suffering minimal losses. The developers meticulously recreate the simulation of modern military action on the territory of an African state.
Arma Tactics includes a well-developed team selection, with the possibility of individual distribution of weapons for fighters. An arsenal of 4 firearms, as well as a combat knife, is provided at your disposal. Of the additional funds and items, grenades and first-aid kits are provided. A flexible character upgrade system is available.
Locations consist of multiple elements used as shelters or means of defense, and also include multi-level buildings that can be climbed with the ability to enter and hide in buildings. The maps are rich in details and weather conditions, including rain and sandstorms. Using the particle system gives the most realistic dynamic shadows and reflections. Sound samples were recorded in the field from real-life military weapons. The game includes the possibility of passing a single player campaign.
