Atom Zombie Smasher is a first-person tactical strategy game in which the player has to evacuate civilians and fight fierce battles with the walking dead at the same time. The gameplay of the project from a small indie studio is similar to a modified version of tower defense with unique mechanics that make the game stand out from the crowd. It is possible to control what is happening on the screen using a gamepad, as well as go through available missions in the company of 2 friends in cooperative mode behind one monitor screen.
The storyline tells the story of the zombie apocalypse that happened, which particularly acutely raised the question of the survival of the human race. The gamer will have to equip the territory of cities with defensive buildings, hire fighters with all kinds of weapons, for example, with sniper rifles or machine guns, and improve them to more effectively counter the undead that attacks the settlement in order to profit from fresh meat. For completing the tests indicated in a separate menu, the user is rewarded in the form of achievements from the list of marks.
A feature of the gameplay is a completely destructible environment, which gives room for imagination when creating a high-quality defense of the city. After completing the prepared levels by the developers themselves, users get the opportunity to create their own creations in the built-in map editor, or download the work of other players to participate in new operations.
