ATOMINE is a twin stick shooter and action roguelike. The user controls the virus here, watching what is happening from above. The malware fights security software in an attempt to hack into the nuclear weapons control system of a certain country's armed forces. The further it goes, the stronger it becomes.
The indie project offers hardcore gameplay. The gameplay is challenging. Gamers will have to rely on their skill and luck. In ATOMINE, due to the mechanics of permanent death, it is necessary to complete the entire series of levels divided into rooms in one attempt. In the event of death, you will have to start all over again, but thanks to procedural generation, with a new race, all stages will already look different. On each map, you must destroy all opponents in order to move forward. Enemies are able to destroy the intruder with a few shots. Boss battles are also available.
First-aid kits help restore a little health, but they come across rarely. On locations there are rooms where they randomly give out new weapons and upgrades. Different guns are effective against specific types of enemies. However, they cannot be destroyed with the first shot. Eliminated adversaries lose data (a local analogue of experience). Gradually opens new weapons, opponents, leaders, items.
