AURA 2: The Sacred Rings is a first-person quest and a direct sequel to Aura: Fate of the Ages. In the previous part, the student of the Guardians obtained the sacred rings that bestow strength and power. However, the dark magician Durad set out to take away the artifacts, so the main character had to flee, teleporting to another world. Dozens of puzzles, locations and missions await the player.
The character moves with the mouse. The left button is responsible for the action (walking, picking up an item, conducting a dialogue), and the right button opens the inventory tab. In addition to the slots for finds, there is a diary in the lower corner, where various hint notes are added.
The plot is non-linear. When choosing, several options are given, on which the ending depends. Some actions do not have a mandatory sequence, so that they can be performed earlier or later relative to each other.
In addition to the main events, the hero will carry out small assignments of other characters, which do not affect anything, but allow solving even more mysteries. Wherever the road of adventure will lead him - to the house of an alchemist, a forest dwelling, a swamp.
Death lurks around every corner. A danger signal is displayed on the screen, and the hero must decide what to do. If you don’t hide, the enemy will grab you, if you take a careless step, you will be pierced by an arrow. There are many such examples. The game does not have an autosave function, so it is better to save your results manually more often.
Of course, the most important thing in quests is puzzles. Many of them are really complex and make you think deeply. At first glance, they seem simple, like starting the engine. But to achieve the goal, you need to: solve puzzles, study books in search of clues, conduct chemical experiments, and much more.
