9th Company: Roots Of Terror is a tactical strategy game set during the Soviet war in Afghanistan. The story tells about young fighters who have undergone rigorous training on the territory of Uzbekistan in the Ferghana Valley. A small detachment opposed the army of Mujahideen, which is comparable to the Battle of Thermopylae, when one Russian soldier opposed ten Afghans.
The 9th Company: Roots Of Terror campaign realistically recreates the events of January 8, 1988. On this day, the 9th company of the 345th Guards came under shelling at an altitude of more than 3000 meters. However, they managed to hold back the onslaught of the enemy for two days. 6 soldiers were killed, 28 guys were seriously wounded. Some of the dead were later awarded the Gold Star in their homeland and received the title of Hero of the Soviet Union.
