99 Levels To Hell is an adventure that includes ten stages with 10 levels each. If the main character dies, then you will need to start the passage from the first mission in the section. Taking control of the wizard, the user receives the first weapon in the form of a shotgun for starting battles. As you progress, you can pick up new weapons or pump magical abilities.
Spells, laser weapons or explosive items will serve as a good replacement for the initial shotgun. Each type of item can be used at any stage of the passage. The player is able to look in all directions of the screen while in a 2D terrain. Locations, the location of opponents and obstacles are procedurally generated. To complete the level, you will need to defeat all the enemies and get to the checkpoint.
The central character earns experience and is upgraded. You can improve its characteristics or special abilities. Gradually, monsters, bosses and traps become more difficult, getting powerful weapons, increased statistics or many partners. Strong opponents are encountered at the last level of each chapter. In the darkness of the dungeons, the user will find elevators, casinos and shops. Earned funds can be spent on consumables, equipment or upgrades.
