Batman: Arkham City is a third-person action-adventure game based on one of the most popular heroes of comics, cartoons, films and toys, Batman. This project is an expanded edition of the original game. The media product was developed by Rocksteady Studios. The official release took place at the beginning of autumn 2012.
The game world is five times larger than that of the previous Batman: Arkham Asylum. Huge locations of the darkest of DC Comics cities terrify ordinary citizens, because power in the city is increasingly passing into the hands of all sorts of marauders, murderers and psychopaths. A huge number of gangs are controlled by their leaders - the Penguin, Mr. Freeze, the Joker and other monsters in human form. Batman sees his own symbol in a stormy night sky, illuminated in a searchlight, and this means only one thing - the city needs it. He goes to restore order on the streets of Gotham City. This time, he will not go into battle alone: the developers have added the ability to play as Catwoman, the sworn opponent of the "Bat", however, this time, irreconcilable enemies have made an alliance.
Gameplay for Batman and Catwoman is quite different. Bruce Wayne, in the guise of his alter ego, is able to literally soar over the city, like a kite, looking for another victim who has crossed the line of what is permitted. He fights using both his powerful physical strength and the use of special gadgets, while "Cat" relies mainly on his instincts and agility. Among the innovations, it is worth noting a smoke grenade to disorientate enemies, a new detective mode. Separately, the developers highlighted 400 new achievements! Stunning graphics have become noticeably prettier since the release of the previous part, the game world has become several times larger, artificial intelligence has grown wiser, and a non-trivial plot has prepared several non-obvious surprises for you!
