The Smurfs are little blue gnomes, comic book characters by the Belgian artist Peyo, invented by him more than half a century ago. Since then, these little three-inch pranksters have gained worldwide popularity, especially thanks to the animated series from Hanna-Barbera, which was even shown on our television for a while. It's no surprise that over a dozen games have been made about the Smurfs since 1982! But, probably, it was the first Smurfs that received the greatest fame.by Infogrames, created for home consoles back in 1994. On the PC, the game was released only 3 years later and therefore went almost unnoticed by computer platformers. But the game turned out to be of extremely high quality, and porting to the PC was carried out at an excellent level (porting was entrusted to East Point, the same company that transferred the Lion King game to DOS ).
Smurfs- this is a classic console platformer, and that says it all - it's moderately difficult to play, short levels are compensated by a large number of enemies and traps and a small amount of health of the protagonist, a simple plot that can be described in one sentence "Bad smurf captured some villagers, and now your the hero needs to free them", and, of course, great graphics! Extremely smooth parallax scrolling cannot but delight, and in combination with bright character sprites and excellent animation, it will bring real pleasure to connoisseurs! The levels in the game are varied, although all are located in the countryside near the village of the Smurfs. The game begins in the village itself, and even there, restless residents can cause a lot of trouble for our hero! What can we say about further levels, where the complexity is on the rise, - if the forest is still traversed without difficulty, then the bridge and especially the Black Forest is a real headache! In the Black Forest, for example, all enemies in contact with our hero turn him into a black smurf (this is where the game ends). Fortunately, after passing a certain number of levels, we are given a password, and then it will not be necessary to start all over again. The levels of the second part turned out very well, where our smurf travels through the lake, field and swamp.
You can list the advantages of this wonderful platformer for a long time, but I think it's redundant - you just need to play it.
