Bear With Me - Episode One is an episodic quest with horror elements and two-dimensional graphics made in noir style. The gloomy atmosphere around is perfectly complemented by a soundtrack specially recorded for this project. The menu has the option to enable an in-game assistant that helps you find the items you need in locations if the gamer misses something.
A girl named Amber has been having nightmares in her dreams for quite some time, which makes her sleep poorly and look rather tired. On one of these sleepless nights, the protagonist finds out that her brother, named Flint, has disappeared. By all means, she needs to find him, because terrible things can happen to him. A difficult detective case, the girl alone will not pull, which is why she resorts to the help of her own grumpy teddy bear, Ted I. Bear. He is an experienced detective and has long been retired, but still he agrees to help, because he is too attached to both Amber and Flint. He, like many other participants in the story, will use dark humor and sarcasm from time to time, distracting from the gloomy situation.
The scene of action becomes Paper City. Within the boundaries of the settlement, a certain Red Man appears, arranging a series of arsons. He does this in parallel with the investigation of the gamer in the role of a little girl, interviewing characters who might know something about Flint and looking for important clues that point to the further goal of the search. The puzzles encountered in the game will most often be based on collecting things and combining them.
