Beast Quest is an epic adventure with RPG elements. The plot is based on a series of children's novels. The sorcerer Malvel turned the previously good creatures that defended the kingdom of Avantia into evil monsters. The main character Tom goes on a journey to save the world from the intrigues of the wizard.
Character management has its own characteristics. The young man cannot jump, which does not allow him to climb obstacles that arise. The movement is implemented only forward, so it will not work to make sharp attacks to the right, left or back. The surroundings are viewed with inversion - point to the top of the screen, but you see the bottom.
Tom wanders through vast locations filled with monsters. Defeated monsters drop chests with coins. On the way there are cities and bonfires. In settlements, gold is spent on upgrades and useful potions. The townspeople give out quests, asking them to obtain various materials, such as animal skins and herbs. Campfires encountered on the way are checkpoints that save progress and allow you to instantly move to them.
A luminous path leads to the goal of the mission, which will not let you get lost in the vast expanses. When meeting with the enemy, the hero will fight. To defeat the enemy will help: normal and enhanced attack, blocking with a shield, magic and allies. The young man is able to evade enemies, standing still or running away. As the game progresses, new partners join Tom - animals or people with massive strong attacks.
There are 4 quick-select slots for special skills and magic tricks. To enhance the attack, it is worth determining which element hits the enemy more painfully. Mana is replenished right during the battle, and health - at moments of respite or with the help of elixirs. After the victory, Tom receives pumping points, which are used to get new spells. Thus, Tom's parameters are also improved: health, defense, attack, courage and crit.
