Beatbuddy: Tale of the Guardians is a side-scrolling action-adventure game that uses casual controls that are easy to learn, as well as collecting statistics for publication on the leaderboard, controlling the main character with a controller, and rewarding the gamer with rewards from the achievement list. Graphically, an indie project from a small development studio, made using hand-drawn backgrounds to create a unique visual that is unmatched by other artists.
The protagonist of the single-player campaign is Rhythmobrat - the creation of the ether. The goal of the virtual protege's journey is to search for and reunite with his own sisters named Melody and Harmony. The antagonist of the story is the evil Prince Maestro. Only the one who uses the Key, which the protagonist will have in the process of passing, will be able to defeat him.
The gameplay is based on rhythm, as the gameplay is accompanied by dynamic music performed by well-known authors such as Austin Wintory, Sabrepulse, and several other composers. The campaign is divided into 6 locations, each of them, in turn, into 5 stages. After passing all of them, the player will free the world from the aggressive Maestro to reign in the fictional universe of the project. On the way of the Rhythmobrother, there will be many puzzles of different order, blocking the path to the final. Only by choosing a solution to each puzzle, the gamer will be able to complete the plot of this game.
