Beeftacular offers to play with a piece of beef. The cube-shaped hero must go through the screen, destroying all the rotten meat. The protagonist can run, jump, bounce off walls, make melee and ranged attacks. He shoots with bones. He has only three "cartridges" for one attempt. Ammunition cannot be replenished.
Beeftacular has about 100 official levels. They open gradually. At the end of the run, the total time, the distance traveled (in pixels), the number of kills and combos, the number of simple and normal jumps, as well as rebounds are calculated. Based on this information, the user is given a global rank. There is an editor and custom maps. For the campaign, you can choose the difficulty - from noob to experienced. For speedrunners, the developers have created a separate mode.
The product mimics the hardcore platformer Super Meat Boy in many ways. Only there it was necessary to run from one point to another as quickly as possible, but here you need to quickly destroy all the green cubes. The main character moves in a similar way and also leaves a trail of blood on steep surfaces and the floor. Even the sounds of his movement are very similar to the original.
The main difference between this game and the cult indie project is the timer. There he counted the seconds forward, and here he counted back. If the gamer does not have time to chop all the rotten meat for the allotted limit, then he will be counted as a defeat. Then the level will have to start again. The reboot works instantly, again, just like in SMT. The goals themselves do not pose any danger, unlike thorns and abysses. When falling on them, the hero dies instantly.
